Hiya Dan, this is my second visit to this particular shot; my first comment was blocked by an OOPS! by admin and for the life of me I cannot find a reason why. When you get an OOPS! they allegedly read it at their leisure and if OK they allow it. Well, not this time. I cannot remember exactly what I typed so it will not be the same, here goes:-
I am so pleased to see that you have got yourself a Canon 100mm macro, they are terrific my friend. A little care needs to be taken with them as they can be quite unforgiving if you try too wide a stop. Additionally it is a very useful short/medium range telephoto and also produces great full and half length portraits. Mark you, you have one of the tip top Canon zoom lenses for that kind of thing. Having said all that that you have done an excellent job here in just getting the tips in focus and finally resulting in a wonderful buzz of tones going into the background. Well done to you Dan.
