BTW: Rust is the corrosion product of iron and could not be used even for steel !
Rust is different with stain.

thank you ray,this marble is a local one ,excavated from the land of Mosul,and it is of a second degree quality,it has an iron imperfections,that is why it got rusty at some places,this is only my explanation,may some architects have a better and a more scientific explanation,my regards as always,
