About This is an attempt to try and expand on Cathy’s question about my use of saturation to remove the colour from an image so that it appears as a B&W image. This is with a saturation of -20 from the original. Below is the original image and then the edited version at -100 saturation.

As I mentioned to Dave, I was lucky in where the colour remained when I desaturated it.

All I did was shift the saturation slightly, it was just fortunate that the colour stayed in both the foliage and the baboon's eyes.

This is a truly beautiful treatment of this animal's expression. The desaturation highlights the emotion. I like the slight hint of green.
