It's a matter of volume. Most of us visit once or twice a day, and with hundreds of photos uploaded each day we can't look at all of them in detail (however much we'd want to, there's just no time).
Add to that the multitude of people who use the site solely as a place to store their vacation snapshots, and others who see it purely as a popularity contest and will only comment on pictures of a select few friends, and there are few people who'll even see your work let alone take the time to comment on it.
As to your work. I took a quick look and though most of it doesn't seem to be interesting to me, it does seem to be technically good.

Hi Jeroen, Thank you very much for your comments. This is what I was hoping for but I thought I hqad a problem with my technical side. Just goes to show that a really GOOD photo will be noticed. Changing my approach as soon as I can. Groete, Cas.

Cas -- You will get more comments on your work if you comment on photos by others. Invariably they will be interested in seeing the pictures of who is commenting on their pictures. In doing so they may very well leave comments on yours. Try leaving five or six comments on recent photos next time you have some time and see what happens. --Best wishes to you, Jan

and whatever you do, don't change your style just to get comments from others. Your style is yours... Unless you're being paid to shoot something else, don't do it unless you really want to (it does pay to experiment of course). And even if you're being paid, you might want to reconsider that job if the client wants something you know deep down is not good (as it will reflect on you in the end).
I stopped posting to another site where the only way to get photos online at all (they used "moderators" who decided what was "good enough and appropriate" who had sole discretion on what would go up) was to conform to a style I don't like at all. Lots of people do post there, and a lot of them grumble. I have a feeling they don't like their own work, shoot it only because they are in some sort of private competition to get the most pictures approved.
That's not healthy and at some point will cause you to stop liking photography.

Hi Jeroen, I am not sure of my style yet but it is good to hear that one should not be dictated to get comments. I felt that sometimes people just say your pics are good for the sake of it.I know when I have a "good" pic but I would rather know what is wrong with it. Groete, Cas. Ps. I am not trying to gain knowledge on the cheap.

I agree with Jeroen. On top of that, there is no need for special expertise if you would leave a comment as to why you liked a picture, or possibly did not. If you are uncomfortable about leaving constructive criticism then just comment on the ones that appear special to you. --Best wishes to all, Jan
