I'm comfortable with databases: MySQL, SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle. Not into PHP yet, but looking to learn. I guess I'd call myself a coder since that's a part of my "day job". However, I haven't done a lot of research into the kinds of photo management and photo site management tools out there.

I used to be more of a backend coder (Java, Perl, blah blah) but now I try to stick with just front end stuff: HTML, graphics, javascript etc., since I enjoy the creative part of my job more than the technical.
I'll be learning PHP soon though, just for the smell of it. I know a few PHP coders who are willing to help me along the way, and they work on a site that manages images, which is the main reason I want to learn.

Yes, I'm very familiar with MySQL and PHP. Aside from several years of personal experience, I also have quite a few contractors who build interactive web sites for folks such as HBO, and the US Forestry Service. :)

I've developed and maintained systems with mysql and perl. Altho I retired about 2 years ago and am a little rusty. I've also worked with HTTP, Visual Basic and VBA.
I can acclaim fame with main frame languages like Fortran, Cobol and Assembler. But I have not worked on the main frame for several years.
I recently finished a little perl/cgi script to display all of the images in a directory, one at a time.

I have just started web-design coming from applications programming (C++ VB). I use MySQL with Perl (like PHP in syntax). I just finished a gallery site for the photography club that I belong to at www.viewfinders.be

I'm very familiar with most web technologies (I'm an instructor for a popular personalization, commerce, and self-service applications company).
Although I do most of my development work in enterprise-level java systems, I do my personal stuff in PHP. I can't say that I care for it much, but it does the job and is nicer to smaller hardware.
You lookin' for some help?

I had a CS education with lots of programming, passed through BBS'ses (door programming for RA BBS) and fidonet into internet where I manage and install linux machines, play webmaster and webdesigner for educational websites which are all using php and mysql. I guess I'm as hardcore techy as you can find in a more artistic environment..;)

I feel right at home coding PHP with Mysql. In fact, I have just launched a site at http://www.artbeacon.com/ using PHP and Mysql. This site is built to empower, guide, and promote artists. It even provides e-commerce capabilities if you choose so.
I've been building web sites using various technologies over the last 10 years and am willing to answer questions if you have any.

Do it every day in and out. Desk jockey with over 9 languages (daily use, not sure how many that I had to learn for one job or contract and then forgot) and over 8 years of experience. Over 16 different database'.
