  Q. Nikkor D70 Kit Lens: FOR SALE

Asked by jon parsons    (K=13639) on 6/9/2004
Nikkor D70 Kit Lens: FOR SALE!
18-70mm DX Zoom-Nikkor D70 kit lens. this wonderful lens is designed specifically for Nikon digital cameras!(DX)
I bought a complete Nikon D70 kit two weeks ago from the local camera store. most of my photography is at longer ranges and I have already bought 28-200 & a 70-300. I really dont need the 18-70 ( I used it once for about 10 shots only and they were beautiful) absolutely perfect as a new! I will sell this beautiful lens for $350... it comes with a nice butterfly hood and lens case! I guarantee this lens is absolutely perfect or your money back! contact jon parsons at Wolf1xx@aol.com

I'll concur with the quality of this lens. I've yet to find any fault with it. Great with flare control, speedy focusing (very close focusing, too), and a good, all around focal length range. Equivalent to 28-105 (or so) angle of view on a 35mm format.

Do read the original post carefully -- this lens is a "DX" lens. That means it's designed for the smaller sensor of Nikon's digital cameras. You WILL get dark corners (vignetting) if used on a 35mm camera.

Of course, if I were the seller, I'd keep this lens rather than the 28-200, but that's just me. ;-)
