  Q. Epson Perfection 3200 PRO scanner.

Asked by Britt Park    (K=2210) on 5/8/2003
I'm looking for opinions. In particular I plan to use it for scanning film from minox to 4"x5", mostly B&W but occasional color. It's theoretically a 3200ppi scanner. In practice, with film, what is it's usable resolution? Also how does it's dynamic range fair for negatives and transparencies? The literature claims a Dmax of 3.4. I'll probably be using it with VueScan on Mac OS X.
