  Q. Recreating a Viewmaster?

Asked by Eveline Shih-Pitcairn    (K=4406) on 4/12/2006
I just had a marketing company contacting me asking if anyone can create a customized Viewmaster with their own chosen images as a retro-style favor/gift for a Retro Party. We're talking about those miniature slides on a disk you would insert into a plastic binocular-type contraption to view through. Does anybody still make these? Anybody have an idea of how much would it cost to do manufacture 100 or so of these?

Oh, duh! I just Googled the work viewmaster and came up with my own answers. Here's one website I found useful for anyone who's interested in doing the same thing:

Stereo photography is great fun. I make stereocards/stereoviews for looking at in a Holmes viewer. Are you going to be taking the pictures?

Best,
Helen

Don't know if I'll be taking pictures, but I submitted my bid to the company. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
