  Q. Cropping in Paint Shop Pro

Asked by Anne Grindle    (K=842) on 10/24/2006
Can anyone help me? I tried to crop a photo in Paint Shop Pro but it didn't work. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I uploaded it anyway. I was going to put a link to it but I don't know how to do that in here

hi,just saw this and since i rec. that program to you months back, thought the least i could do would be to help you with the basics.....on the left hand side of paintshop screen where your tools are shown, there is a crop tool...click to use (it follows you to your image) and then it will show you a square on your image which you control to elongate to chosen dimensions...once you like it, there will be a "check mark" above which when mouse over says "apply" (or maybe the word shows already?)
Click the check mark and then you will see that your new cropped size shows on the screen....hope this helps.....i no longer have the manual, but there is also a "Help" button with info about PSP8

i haven't posted since July and may do so shortly, but won't be back here on a regular basis until sometime after i move the end of this month....regards,gayle :)

Anne, you didn't say which version of psp you have. I have 7'2 and all I do is open the pic, clik on the crop tool, draw the cropping lines, then when I have the crop I want just double clik inside the image. its then cropped, but the little arrow at the to will undo it if you wish. Hope this helps you. My problem is getting colour into a bland sky.

John, I have 8.0. I will give it a try. Thanks
