Brent,
I purchased a Bay 1 to 49mm adapter on Ebay before the prices went up, so I guess they're pretty popular. I see they still show up on Ebay, or you can go to http://www.camera-depot.com/accessory.htm for a number of accessories. I never purchased from them, but I saw them listed somewhere else and bookmarked them just in case. By the way, I went with the 49mm (I would've gone 46mm if I new they were available) so I could use a lens hood with minimal interference of the viewing lense. Although the hood does come into view, you can still see well enough to compose and focus. I use a inexpensive rubber hood. If I really want to get a good look, I just push the hood with a finger, compose, and shoot. The other thing I've done (if I haven't bored you enough)is marked a polarizer with a dot so I could point the dot towards the sun. I went outside on a bright sunny day, and experimented with the polarizer on the viewing lense. I then marked the rim of the polarizer with nail polish when I got the desired effect. Now, when I pull the polarizer out of the bag, I can adjust it with out guess work. Raymond - glad there is another loyal Minolta fan out there. I have an older manual focus Minolta as well.
