Kodak E100GX - being devils advocate here, but I really like the more gental tones for some things.

I would agree with Chris for the slide film... Provia has a very natural look to it and the colours represent themselves accurately.

I like Kodak Portra 160 VC for a landscape print film. There are some examples of this (for colour reference) in my portfolio, before I switched to my D70.

I totally agree with Chris here, Fuji is what you need to show nature at its best and most natural.

I have heard complaints that Reala does not show the correct color of the sky. I have heard that it renders a lighter cast. Has anyone experienced this with Reala?

Fuji, fuji and then....fuji.
Reala is nice. I've had no complaints but I do prefer Provia. The Kodak GX is OK but, in my never to be humble opinion, doesn't quite measure up when compared to Fuji.
I have not been impressed with the Portra film. Not in the least. I shot some Raptors at an exhibit hoping for some really nice pictures. What I got back was flat and dull. Stay clear of Portra.

Strangely enough, because it is primarly aimed at fashion photography, but I found myself with half a roll of Fuji Astia 100f in the camera and shot some landscape on it and I was amazed.
I've always found Fuji Provia to have slightly muted colours and the likes of Kodak EPR and Fuji Velvia higher saturation and contrst than real life.
The Astia shocked me because it was (to my eye) the most accurate representation of colour and tone of the lot.

Slide: Fiju Provia 100F - fully natural color. Bu may give more blue tone if exposure is wrong.
Negative: Fujicolor NPS 160 - natural color, standard contrast.

I would say Fuji Reala... My boss shoots it and i do to every now and then. Its good stuff. I prefer Velvia 50 or now the new 100 (not the 100f. its good but not as good as 50).
