Q. Submitting to Copyright Office

I am planing on submitting a CD with thumbnails of my photos to be registered. The question I have is this: The thumbnails are full frame scans of the negative or slide. Many times I crop these images and do some color correcting, dust/scratch removal, etc.. for the final image. The thumbnails do not get this treatment. Are the thumbnails sufficient for copyright protection, or do I have to submit final images. Sure if a final image gets good results, that would then be resubmitted as a published work, but for now, when 100% is unpublished will the tumbnails work??

yes the thumbnails will be fine. good for you on submitting them. you should plan on doing it every couple of months or so.
