I'm in Toronto. I like the photos of your kids. I'm sure they'll treasure them when they get older. I'm not sure how these meetings work, but it would be great to meet up with people and exchange tips and lessons learned.

If there are other toronto members, i would GLADLY visit for a meeting!!(i love toronto) Would give me a good excuse to leave my boys with their grandparents!!
Would be neat to take a day to spend wandering TO. Ive been wanting to do it for a while, and would love to pick up tips from more experienced photographers.
I love journalism, and toronto has always given so much oportunity for GREAT journalism. But right now i dont get many opportunities right now to practice it.
(not complaining, LOVE my boys, they make great subjects. BUT it would be so refreshing to pick up with what made me love photography in the first place)
Your portfolio is very inspiring Spiro, i especially liked your section on greece.(from your site)
I dont really know what happens at usefilm meetings either..i have no clue if theyre formal or if everyone just kind of meets at a location for lunch and a chat.
Hopefully there are others interested too!

Thanks for checking out my work. Although I have a good grasp of composition and colour, I still have a lot to learn about the technical nature of photography. Lighting is especially complex. Hopefully we can get some people interested in a meeting!

Hi Spiro, and Corrie. Not winter PLEASE!!!!! Look at the roads today. Maybe an April or May date would work. I'd love to participate, but living in a ski resort kind of rules out winter for me.

Sadly I'm not in Ontario, but might be there later this year say around July/August, but that's not a gaurantee.

Did we ever decide when a good time to meet would be? We should probably decide soon if were aiming for summer. Weekends are good for me...but if impossible for everyone else im sure we could figure something out. ;)

after reading the forums i see some people from GTA iam in ottawa. there are a few people in ottawa that are members that would like to meet up also.

Im also from Ottawa and will be coming back home from my europe trip and would love to have a candaian meeting. I think the summer or early fall would be the best time if its in Toronto.

That sounds like a great idea. We can use the coffee shop at the far end of the Distillery District as the initial gathering/meeting place and then head out from there. The fall colours should make for some nice shots! I'll put an invite together once we finalize a date and post a link to it on here.
