  Q. Seasoned Photographers Help Needed!!

Asked by Jacquie Smith    (K=20) on 11/17/2010
I am starting to photograph weddings, seniors and families. Mostly outdoors. I have a Cannon EOS Rebel XT. Can you suggest filters needed and any lenses I might need. So far I have a Cannon 75-300 1.5m/4.9ft and a EFS 18-55mm 0.28m/0.9ft lenses. I also have children and do indoor sports pictures.

Please help!!

Okay quite a broad range of activety you have going on there.
far too much for any shorthand reply and as such most of what ill reply is toward the light side.
Firstly filters since lenses are by far more dear and not helping nearly as much.
Mostly Used will be a polariser (circ) and then perhaps a star filter for adjusting the background highlights to leading lines .
Speaking of backgrounds well some props you may consider are candles , bubbles ,petals and varied matierials like silk , hessain , laces and satins.
try purchasing or making a reflector golden preferably.
A decent step ladder is a MUST.
a tripod or monopod would be an idea.
speaking of filters... try a sliding slot in system like cokin P or Z or a tiffen system.
External flashguns are awsome as to is a backup camera system in case of failure of main camera.
