  Q. Sony A350 with 16-105mm or Nikon D90 with 18-105 ????
Kenan Pajević
Asked by Kenan Pajević    (K=3169) on 11/30/2009
Hi all!! I'm looking for my new camera. I have 2 solutions, one is used Sony Alpha 350 with buyed (not kit) lens, Sony 16mm-105mm, and other is new (fabric) Nikon D90 with his kit lens 18mm-105mm, so can anyone please tell me, which one is better solution? Relatively good Sony Alpha with excellent lens, or excellent Nikon with not so excellent lens?? Is it better to have good lens, or good camera? Allso, is it possible for me to by better lens for Nikon in the future, and would it payout??

This is allso importat for my next lens "addings", so which manifacturer have more lens solutions, and which one is better? (I think that Canon or Olympus lovers will give me most realistic answer )

Thank you anyways :) All best, Kenan

Hi Kenan.
the Sony Alfa is an adapted Minolta 7D body, and have a built in antishake mechanism,I have used the 100 alfa, and not satisfied with its results, all the old lenses of minolta could be used with the alfa series.
my little advise which I hope it will be useful to you,is to log to dpreviw, and check the last page of the reviw of each camera, and compare the results.I look usually for image quality ,and they give a score from 1 to 10.
all the reviews are made by the best experts of cameras hardware in the world.
Good luck.

Thank you dear Saad for posting this comment :)

Yes I allready loged in and found all what I need, Nikon D90 have better body, but this friends Sony have better lens, but here is the hint, Nikon have better comercial coverege in my country than Sony, and becouse of that, it's cheaper, so, all my frinends in Bosnia recomend me Nikon, couse i can buy better lens with less cash :)
I think they are right, and it will be good investment.
Also, I have lost of frinds who are photographers (one of them is Nanda Baba das, who is allso my mentor) and they use Nikon, so, I handle with Nikon better, and I'm fomiliar with it's lenses :)

:) All best
