Hi Erik,
this has a lot of sex! I love that special lighting you've created. the shadows add to the mood and creates an area of mystery and imagination.

thanks so much for these comments. there was very little natural light left in the sky when this was shot, so fill flash was the only option left for me. i was surprised at how selective the light was in hitting the various parts of the frame. cole likes the shot. it's going to be the cover for the CD, coming out in a few weeks. maybe i'll post the graphic-upped version too.

Fabulous color, lighting and angle! Skin tones are gorgeous. Obviously you have a beautiful and funky subject to work with here, but I think the lighting and angle are incredibly flattering, and successful. The fill is very subtle and the color is very natural with sunlight. I would have guessed reflector rather than fill. Also, given the lighting, the clothing colors (including the blue accent) are working overtime! Cole must be very pleased with this! And you too! Great work here Erik, one of your very best of these sorts of shots IMO. 7/7

Yes, I consider it a suburb. Unfortunatley, I don't have much time to seriously look at your portfolio right now because I have to go teach my class... at SU! (I teach Network Engineering).
I have taken a quick look at your portfolio and it's obvious I need to spend a bit more time looking to see what I can stea.... er learn, that's it, learn. :-) Actually I really am trying to learn how to take better pictures and looking at others' work seems to be a great way to do this. Your

i haven't done too many many of these so far, but i'd love to do more. basically you should negociate a day rate for the shoot and then a license agreement fo the use.
i think your stuff would be great for CD packages.

hi, makes me wonder what is under that hat since it is so high on her head...good perspective,dramatic lighting and vibrant colors...a lot of 'tude she be throwing in that pose...is this what you mostly do...professional photog for musicians?...i have had some interest in some of my images for CD covers,and wonder how that all works? any sage advice or how best to negotiate such?.....regards,gayle

A very nice work i would say. Fist attraction is the combination of dark colors (that remind africa!) And..some parts of the bosy and the unexplained way she is staying..a great work in deed! ..good work..
