a fantastic image...congratulations! formalistic and realistically experimental in an intellectual way!

Cinematic and pioneering reveals a new perspective through surfaces with holes!!!

The tones also are vivid and amazing!

Dear Verena,

so in fact the perspective is flattening a round surface, and the holes are pointing in different directions, right ?... Brilliant!

WOW - yes i have been reading all comments and saw that Hugo thought it was PS work, Emy that it was windows...and so on. For me it looks like 3 holes and that you used an "extraordinary" deepth of field to manage this. Yes, it could be mirrors and windows with dark glass as well - so that we see a reflected image in those "holes" on the wall. However - it?s superb and CONGRATS for the SC award.

:)
A hug,
Jeanette

very well seen dear Verena!!!! has that photocollage feel but, as i have read above, it isn?t and that?s what makes it extaordinary... the lines and textures are mingled again very nicely but yes, the different views reflected to the round windows is its strong point... congrats for the SC... well deserved for this shot!!! kisses... emy :)

@Hugo, no tricks :) it is our television tower in Düsseldorf

different view
http://www.usefilm.com/image/400445.html

if you stand close on the ground the rounding is not so obvious anymore, but it is enough to reflect in every normal window a slightly different scene

Cheers,
Verena

Let me guess, it looks like you have metallic folding door with round mirrors attached, and the mirrors are pointed in different directions. Is that it?

Whether that's right or not, it's a very creative shot!

@Hugo: no change...in a special way real :)

Hugo de Wolf Hugo de Wolf   {K:185110} 1/20/2005
Hi Verena, this is very cool. The use of the holes in the wall, and their strong intersecting line (even slightly translucent) makes it look like three individiual shots, but on closer inspection, I tend to believe it's only the shots through the holes you changed...:) Very creative work, spectacular image and illusion. Very intriguing image. Very impressive.

Cheers,

Hugo
