This is super Diana, the composition is just great, it looks like the flower is trying to kneel so it can fit inside the frame :-)
The lighting is super and the details within the petals are perfectly captured. A fabulous minimum DOF and a wonderful matching frame to complete the photo.

Diana; this may THE perfect flower photo!! Certaintly a true "7". Composition, exposure are excellent and the painterly quality of the background really is exquisite and adds much to the character of the photo-- love the curvy stem. Hi Diana.your artistic talents shine through this image,not to mention your photographic skills,your choice of a bloom with an interesting twist to the stem creats a lovely tension in the composition.Also the indoor outdoor technique is extremely succsessful.

Experimenting is always a good thing! I think that this try is very good, sharpness, colors and lights are excellent, the background is brighter than I'm used to, but gives a particular luminosity and a sense of happiness to the image. Superb again, this time with warm and glowing tones. Really, what catches me here is the power of light, how it makes the flower pop out of the screen with a 3D effect.
Quite interesting background technique. Thank you for explaining, I think it could be applied to various situations.
