I have few of my photographs up on a friend’s web site, and he got an email from student named Sarah who really liked the photograph and wondered if she could paint it.
After some back and forth, she eventually liked a panoramic photo I did a while back in Nebraska over the cornfields (she used my usefilm portfolio to find it - awesome).
What a pleasant surprise to get a photograph in my inbox shortly after lunch yesterday from Sarah with a wonderful painting. I’ve combined her painting with the original shot.

Your photograph is fabulous! Your composition is wonderful and the variations in weather is quite incredible. Your story about the painting is great. It must have been a nice surprise for you. MAry
Since you are a painter/photographer/climbing fool I was hoping you would really enjoy this stuff. If you wanted I could try to loop you back into the class in case they are looking for inspiration.
