Thanks, Jinggoy... I loved shooting the pelicans, they were a challenge with my slow focusing lens :) And you're right about the darkness-- I really need to learn the basic PS stuff one of these days ;)
I've been gone for a bit and haven't looked or posted in a while. I hope to do more of both soon.

It's a good flight shot Christine. A bit dark, but you've captured him well!

Lllleft, no no rrright, ehhhh left... ;-DD Nice capture of a great moment!! Great composition, excellent DOF... well done!! As for the suggested PS... the grainy 'feel' doesn't bother me, but you might consider cropping the somewhat dark band on top of the pic... ;-D

Hi Bill. Yes, PS for sure. First, I need to learn to use it!! I played with it last night and am at a loss, frustrated with how slow my computer is... it takes forever to make an adjustment. Soooo, the future holds a new computer (I'm waiting for Vista to come out) and a PS class...
It's grey in SF right now, maybe I need to give up on the birds for a while and find something else to shoot.
Take care, and thanks (as always) for your comments.

Thanks, Robbie. Seems like when I can find time to go out and shoot, the weather is bad. Well, it IS winter, what do I expect! I have to learn photoshop. I HATE spending that much time in front of the computer, and I need to upgrade that beast, too. But I'll learn.
Thanks for your comments and thanks for adding me to your friends list-- you've been added to mine, too :)

At that shutter speed you are lucky to get it as sharp as this. With the lighting as bad as that you did a good job at capturing this.Maybe a higher ISO and a noise remover might help. When someone isn`t a digital manipulation expert you know what you want but don`t know the HOW TO like me,so Bill`s advise is commendable. Trust me I won`t get tired of your postings. Adding you to my friend`s list. Take care my NEW FRIEND. Robbie

I think this one needs some help in PS??? Maybe select the dark areas and adjust the levels. Other wise it's a really nice action shot. Keep them coming...I won't get tired of them. Bill
