The Day After. The title of your image says it all. I didn't realize that you were in NY when 9-11 occurred.
It's so sad to look at this image and to think that the Twin Towers were visible from this spot.

Hey Sal, You assumed correctly...It's apparent there's smoldering remains of the Tower's and fire hoses still churning...I'd guess you put forth a lot of effort to get to that vantage point...A shot to remember...Congrats...

Thanks Greg......My story? I'd probably characterize it as my chronicaling the event. I am assuming (and maybe incorrectly) it is apparent that the scene at the end of the street that we are looking at is of the fire hoses still trying to put out the fire at 'groundzero' in lower Manhattan. I'm sorry but I guess sometimes when I shoot a picture and I know what it is, that I automatically assume everyone else does too. I appreciate your comment. Sal
