About The beauty of Wisconsin is lost to those who cannot see past its cows and cheese and beer and green-and-gold haberdashery. This day the gentle wash of inland sea waves against Niagara Escarpment bedrock was the background for a fine spring paddle.

Very beautiful.
Frame like at the best old cinema.
Some wonderful, perhaps dramatic, history is lurking in silence. The composition is supporting imagination. I am having a feeling that such images are in philosophers favour.
Very much I like your work.
Regards.
Viola.

A great suggestion, Randy. Usefilm, are you listening?

I continue to have problems time to time. Some pictures come through great and others suffer, sometimes tones and other times sharpening. My suggestion would be for UF to set up posting with a preview before the final 'submit' button.

Thanks so much, Randy. Unfortunately the zip is there pre-upload but not post-. I haven't had this problem for a couple years with usefilm, the darkening and muddying effect. Suggestions?

This is an interesting composition, containing many nice elements. Great shadow patterns on the grassy sand in foreground, the opening in the old fence that beckons you though to the center area of image, the bright pathway at waters edge, at which you take in the water and treeline, and finally the dramatic sky. I particularly like the mounds of grass at edge of water which the infrared effect highlights.
The lines within the composition create a 'S' pattern for the eye to follow.
I though it lacked a little 'zip' but I see you addressed that, perhaps a little histogram adjustment would return some vitality.
Nice piece

Very nostalgic, now all it needs is a log house and a few chickens running around. I agree with Susie.....timeless shot.

Thanks, Paul. It darkened quite a bit in the upload, losing vitality as sometimes happens. Perhaps I'll repost? Thanks for looking! ~Tim

Very nice shot Tim. I like the b/w conversion, it works really well here. This is a timeless shot, but for some reason it makes me think of the 40's and 50's. Well done.

This is a really interesting low-key shot, Tim.
It does evoke nostalgia.
