About Wukoki was abandoned 800 years ago. The stone structure sits alone on the desert floor forcing us to confront our preconceived notions about early American civilization. For a moment I thought I could hear the ghosts of children playing.

Bill - yes I did get to the other site as well but those images are on another card and I will have to get to them later this week. I was there at sunset the night before but the conditions were not great. Did you get to the sunset crater site? Very cool abut hard to shoot. Thanks for stopping by. - JB

Great composition. I have never heard of Wukoki Ruins until you posted your images. I wish I would have. I was in the area of Page and Flagstaff a couple of years ago and would have loved to have seen this place.

Amazing how the stone structures are still standing after all those years and that man has left it that way.

Very nice photo John,
I was there 2 weeks ago and took a few shots of this same building at sunset. The red bricks just light up in that light.
There were some other ruins about a mile away. did you get to see those too?
I really like the way you used the tree in the foreground here. Nice work.
Bill
