About
Again, completely untouched. This is taken at home in the early morning sun (in my opinion, the best time to utilise the sunlight). The name of this rose is "Duet" and it is very nciely scented.
It is great to see another Aussie on Usefilm, you have taken a very pleasant shot Sophie. You have selected a crop which helps to focus on the lovely colours of the rose, I like the intricate folds and the shadows created by them, well done!
Sophie, this is a beautiful shot of this rose. The detail and the lighting are wonderful as well as the composition. You are going to produce some wonderful work in the future. Danielle
Hi Sophie.....you are right, the early mornings and late evenings provide us with the kindest of light. This is a good floral with rich colour, clear detail and taken close-up. You will find that some shades of the 'red' family are difficult to re-produce and often do need a little post work done on them. I have had more failures than I care to remember with red roses. Try taking some shots in the evening with some artificial light; cut one flower free and do an indoor table shot experimenting with filtered daylight and a little fill-in flash. Well done Sophie you are going to do just fine. Thank-you for selecting me as a friend but remember, until you become a donor you can only have three friends, so select carefully. I will'see' you again soon my young friend, best wishes to you down under....Pommie Ray
