Thanks for the recent comment, Thilo.
This pic is kinda representative of why I haven't been around so much: UF is a bit dead to me. I don't appreciate how the content (and money) providers are treated.
My friend Kevin Collier has been unceremoniously kicked out recently.
Back to the subject, though: this is a nice picture, making great use of the backlighting to highlight and enhance the contrast.
Nice job.

I really like the heavy shadows in this, seems to suit the perpose behind the monument. I would love to see this museum one day, i envy all your travels!

I like it.. might want to crop it abit earlier as there is shadows destroying the perfect pattern. Without those shadows it would be impossible to say if it was manufactured/fabricated or shoot on scene! =)

Hi Linda,
you managed to nail down my own impression =)
I underexposed the image to get just 2 dimensions.

Hi Stefan,
unfortunately, I didn't realize the real potential of the scene. So yes: DOF is something to improve.
thanks for the honest feedback, Thilo

Hi Roberto,
the image is heavily underexposed by intention =)
I wanted to reduce the image to 2 dimensions.

A deeply sad time in history Thilo and a wonderful remembrance. The golden coffins/blocks almost seem to be floating in the air, great layering effect adding depth. The repeating shapes and form make a very nice abstract, very nicely done...Linda
