Lee, as a matter of fact I DID see the egret devour the crab over a span of about 20 minutes!!!
In fact the most incredible thing was, When He was half way through the meal He took the crab back out in the water and dipped Him in a few times to clean the mud from Him!!!!Then went back to shore to finish the meal!! So interesting to watch!!! Thanks for the comment Lee!

I watched one eat a crawdad and as it bit down the crawdad it literally exploded !
Are the egrets seasonal in your area?
