Piemen from down our way in my part of the world are traditionally called "Simon".

To continuously optimize their piemaking performance, many a pieman, having reached the end of his tether, will spend the night tramping back and forth along a bridge, pondering on the point of pies in the deep soggy glow on the city illumination, probably listening to Pie Zeppelin on a PiePod...
