judi, thank you very much.I worked to keep those hands of the creator in the dark, to me , creation is the identity of the creator.thanks,abhra.

Excellent work. The angle of the camera over the pottery leading up to the hand. I would like to see a tad more light over the hand as it is difficult to make out.

thanks a lot martin. actually I preffered the idea of keeping the creator in the dark, but if you think you really like to see the creator.....

abhra,

I do love your capture, but I had to see the man in the photo... Hope you don't mind?

Nice rich tones. I agree with the others that the placement of your name is a bit distracting.

Thanks for your comment on my image, "Bison at Churning Caldron." -- Naomi

thank you very much for the comment. basically the creator is always known by his creations.......so i choose the name.

The contrast and ocmpositon on this are both perfect. There are a lot of things i can interpret form this. I've been staring at it for quite some time now. very pleasing to my eyes. I agree with the comment about your name being slightly distracting from the hand and i think a border would help quite a bit. I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more views and comments. Keep up the good work Abhra.

Abhra, this is a well observed shot, which I'm surprised hasn't had more comments. The light is perfectly captured and the hand looks alien or otherworldly (or something!). I feel, though, that having your name on the image has spoilt the effect of the hand somewhat. Might it be better to put a border on the picture and have your name on that?
Regards, Gary

Nice use of tone and shade. I like how it focuses on the pots, with its creator hidden behind it, almost without recognition. Religious interpretations could be observed too, great job!

Yes, I think you've done a good job with using the contrast to enhance your subject and tell a story. The photo, to me, suggests that the product is more important than the craftsman.

The transitional light accentuates an impression that the potter turns the dull earthy clay into something bright and useful. It's like the clay is given a new life by the potter's hands and you can almost expect the new pots to be throbbing with the promise of exciting new life. In fact it might turn out to be equally mundane and even shattered. Still, there's always hope and that's what your picture breathes.
