Hi Petal,thanks for your comment,as I said to Bruce it is hard work getting down on my stomach to take pics at my age but really worth the effort for beautiful landscapes such as this.
You will have to visit again in winter to get the effect of the snow on the tops!!
PS I like your name:)mine is a bit out of the norm as well makes life interesting at times,especially when I am mistaken for the opposite gender.

Hi Greg,you will have to add this place to your calling card,well worth the gate charge to get up to the higher altitude the views are really spectacular and something different for this area which has been really thrashed by photographers.

I am glad both Petal and yourself appreciate the low forground angle of view it makes getting down on my stomach all worth the while ,actually getting down is not too bad it is the getting up the trouble starts:)

Thanks for the comment,don't remind me about a wider angle lens it frustrates me SO much especially in situations such as this!

Nice contrast and colours. The reflections in the pond make for a more interesting composition. Pity you do not have a slightly wider angle lens. Cheers John

Like Petal, I like the depth conveyed from the grasses in the foreground. There is a lot of sky, without the clouds it would have been unbalanced, but the clouds are interesting enough to hold the composition together. Very nice.

This is fantastic. I love the browns of the landscape and the reflection. I go to Queenstown a lot but haven't been up there. Nice shot.

Great landscape shot!!! Beautiful colors, textures, reflections.... excellent composition, love the grasses in the foreground... they add tons of depth... well captured!!! They really look remarkable, esp. with the snow... I only saw them in summer, but even then it was a wonderful sight!!!!
