Most of the moon shots I have seen have the moon coloured a yellow cast.
This is very good work.
If you look at the EXIF information on the original image (using the Canon ZoomBrowser software) you can retrieve the White Balance setting)

Sonny, I was playing with the white balance and this one was taken with the tungsten setting on. It was a pleasand surprise, glad you liked it. Thanks for the comments, coming from you they mean a lot!

A superb lunar capture, Darlene!
I'd love to get a good moon photo like this, but with a limited, point and shoot canon, and with a 3x only optical zoom, it can't be done. I just have to leave it to long lens wonders like yours!
I love the blue tone. This is a fantastic image, and it's going into my favourites. A sure 7.

The blue moon looks great. Very detailed. The moon must've been pretty low where you're at. When I take moon shots, I use my EF 100-400mm @ 400mm with a EF 2X II extender.
Were you able to autofocus or was it manual?

Wow Darlene this is just plain spectacular. You can probably find the white balance setting by looking at the EXIF data for the picture.

nice shot! you were able to get this with a 100mm lens? the moon must have been huge... I have a 200mm lens and unless I am doing something wrong I have never been able to get this close or this much detail... any advice?
