Well, it's not only you..;) You've turned it into a rule of thirds image which is known as a rule for creating very likable images.. So you and many others..
As for the photo itself, I like the original, but your crop is better..

It's an excellent picture, but beingmeI would have cropped it a bit to put the fencewire nearer the 1/3rd position. (see my edited version below)
But that'sjust me and it really has impact as it is.

I really like the composition and colours in this one, Chris. Reminds me of the Australian Outback. Certainly not a picture I would have imagined coming from the English countryside. Cheers, Ann.
