Fanstastic landscape photography, Pat. My wife and I have planned a trip to your great state. She wants to visit the Badlands area but I wasn't too enthusiastic about the idea. Now, after seeing your photos, I'm all for it and looking forward to our visit there. How's the weather there in mid-September? Hopefully, all the summer tourist will be gone by then. Jimmy

Pat Very nice!! I love the badlands I've done some hiking there but it has been ten years since I was out there. Nice colors and crop on this one. Did you stop at Wall Drug after this shot to get your free glass of water?

Reminds me of "The Chronicles of Riddick" when the sun comes up. Love the scenery you have captured - the colors are warm and wonderful.

Nice image with the first light illuminating the formations in the background. The formations in the foreground are too dark for my taste, and I'd open them up a bit.
