M. Zafar - I believe whites are almost worse than reds in trying to capture correctly. So, practice, practice is what I am doing. Thanks for taking an interest, I do appreciate the help and the comments. Jan

Janice, I think you 'played' well. It does enhance your picture. Good job. Mary -

Cool one. Nice composition. Whites are bit over-exposed but creating a wonderful mood in here giving a feeling of the unseen light of that moment. Well saturated colors.
Kind regards.

Hey Mary - you did post the picture you played with, and the picture looks pretty good. Now, I will get in there and mess around and see what I can do. Thanks Friend for the help. Really appreciate it. Jan

Janice, goodness knows I am no one to offer suggestions as I am just beginning. What you said in another reply is so true for me, also. I get some decent shots more by fortune than talent. However, we are learning and as a friend told me we'll find that 'luck' will start happening more often. I just recently got PS 7 and am trying to get to know the functions. I tried using the Dodge Tool on your white flowers. It did brighten them. However, it may have blown out a bit of the detail. Also, it is a matter of taste, I like the brightened flowers, but, I also like the subdued mood in your original. I've never tried to post a picture in a reply before, so we'll see how this works. Take care, Mary -

Gilberto - they are pretty aren't they? Tiny too. They are only about 1/2" across. Their leaves smell like lemons. Thanks for the comment. Your friend, Jan

Thanks Mary - I will see if I can figure out how to bring up the white without messing with the background. Of course all suggestions on how to do that in PS 7 are welcome! LOL

Beautiful flowers, lovely composition. If you could somehow leave the background the way it is and brighten the flowers, they would jump right out. Mary -
