About Birmingham's public buildings are sometimes under-estimated. This shot is taken from Chamberlain Square, outside what some of us still call 'the new library' (probably soon to be torn down and re-housed) looking towards the municipal museum and art gallery, connected by that Venetian-styled bridge.

Birmingham Art Gallery, incidentally, contains a fine collection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings.
