About I've been eyeing these buildings for awhile. Finally got my stuff together the other night and shot them. Felt very open and creative.
On a tripod. Long exposure. Zooming during exposure. Having fun.
Hope you dig. Dig?

hey larry! the zoom was spread out evenly throughout the 5 second exposure. i think it was a zoom out from long focal length to short. best of everything with our experiments.

Erik, of the 3 you posted with long exposure, I think this one really stands out! The lines on this are incredible and teh city scape really adds to the whole feel and mood of the shot. Nice work!! I really like this one!

ooh, yeah!
I'd forgotten that with my new camera, my zoom isn't locked during exposure.

This IS a cool shot.

Hi Erik, in all fairness, I think this is one of the rare examples where this effect is actually benificial to the result. It takes the cityscape completely out of the ordinary, reaching warp speed.

I appreciate the extensive information on camera settings, even including the white balance. Now there's something else to remember, apart from the freaky but effeictive effect! Great shot. Me Dig. Big time.

Cheers,

Hugo

Thilo,
Glad you dig it. Zooming during exposure works well on tripod. Can be messy if hand held. I could see you having some fun with this one.
Cheers,
Erik
