Lovely, lady redbird. Wish I could get this close to one for a shot like this. Have the males been showing up at the window? If you really want to entice them, put out some sunflower seed, or is that sunflower seed I see on the right side of the board.

That's very nice, Ken. I wish I'd cropped these some more now. I was bored, sitting here watching them, and snapped away. I'm kind of house bound somewhat right now, so I won't be out taking many pictures for a while. I may dig through the archives and upload a couple of old ones, just because I miss the feedback from all of my friends. As always, your help and suggestions are always appreciated. :)

Very sharp are nicely lit, Rebecca, with that sparkle in the bird's eye. To reduce the background clutter I made a version that's more closely cropped and with a darkened background--see what you think.

I like this image more than the other.
It's just the tree branch behind the bird, the oblique one, as if the bird is standing under it.
Good work Rebecca, regards,
Khaled.

This bird stands out beautifully against the green in the background. The clarity, lighting and dof is great. Alison

Great shot. Have you noticed the abundance of these little dudes this year. I was driving to work the other day & there was about 6 or 7 of them in a bush. It wasn't the best place to pull over for a pic, but I should have done it what's a little trauma in the name of a a great pic. :) Dottie

She looks like she just spotted something suspicious on the other side of the window. Ah, but it was only her own reflection. Beautiful job Rebecca, and a great idea.

Nice catch of the cardinal, Rebecca! Great feather detail and colour. That's a bird we seldom if ever see here, so it's nice to have your shot!
Dave.
