This was actually in the San Antonio zoo, Pat.
I was a fair distance, as this was maximum optical zoom at 380mm.

I thinks it great. Good thinking on the under Ex. So many would take there ttl meter to heart and been disapointed later. Turned out perfect. Be proud of this one. I have to ask, in the wild? What distance where yu from the bird? Excellent exposer my friend!
