Haha... okay Mark, I think your screen is very BLUE!! LOL just joking... It looks wonderful! I like this mystical blue tone, and the crisp snow looks like... like if the leafs are lips that kissed sugar!

Susa, you can reach to a good photo art with this abstract combine.indeed the frozen drops is like a texture in this shot and enhance it's abstract effect.composition is good by the limited area of macro shots.nice shot with good tone/ kiarang.iran

No special technique, Johann. I took the picture by the roadside on a clear sunny (and cold) morning just after sunrise when there was frost on the leaves. I parked my car next to the clover to shade it from the sun, to keep the frost from melting and to reduce contrast, so that now the main source of light was the clear blue sky. Velvia film is topnotch in producing saturated colors. In Photoshop I did the standard processing of adjusting the brightness and contrast and color saturation. Slightly increasing the saturation of the colors, and darkening and increasing the contrast a bit produce the results you see in the photo. Of course, a slight increase in sharpness using unsharp mask. Regards, Mark

Excellent macro, Mark, and a great subject! I like the blue tinting, really conveys the idea of the frost.
