Awesome .. I like that you did not center this as most people tend to do. The off-set and lower right composure made this already great shot even better. sm..

thanks for your words Jennifer; answering your questions: AFAIR the shutter speed was from 1/500 - 1/2000 at the beginning of the eclipse when the Sun was higher above the horizon; in this case it must have been 1/2000 because it was just the beginning of the eclipse; I used Kodak film which is not listed here (I think it was 25 ASA); this is the direct shot of the Sun - I did not used and surface to make a reflection of the Sun; what about blinks? it is incredible, but I took hundred of pictures of the different eclipses using the same lens (Pentacon 500/5.6) and an old Russian teleconverter (not good actually) and there are no blinks at all - it must be because of the lens I suppose :-) regards and take care Lukasz

great shot, Lukasz...made even better/richer by your title! Simple & stunning...or perhaps just simply stunning. I love it. Just curious...do you have any idea how long/short of a shutter speed you needed to capture this? Seems incredible to me that you have no lens flare...or did you shoot it reflected in something else? Anyhow, glorious shot.

Yes I like it!!! I think it's great, how can you take a photo of the sun and make it a perfect sphere? I haven't been able yet to do it.
