About This one is one of my favorites selfportraits. Maybe because it has been taken in my mother land : Italy (actually, it's in Vatican City State but, it's almost a part of Rome...). I sat down in the middle of Piazza San Pietro and waited for the right tourist coming. I like this gloomy sly wich is really rare in Rome, in the middle of summer. Hope you'll like it as I do.

Thanks in advance...

Note : The shoot isn't as grainy on the original. The problem is due to the jpeg compression and the automatic reduction of Usefilm... Sorry about that.

I think it's cool that you put yourself in there. It more than a typical scene shot. It shows me that you were a big part of that picture. You were there amongst all that was going on. It actually makes me curious about the person behind the camera, and what they are like. Good job.

i'm not sure about this one. i know the context bcz of your other photographs, but i think the one leg unbalances this shot. i think if you had both legs, crossed, then it would sort of impart a feeling of 'yes, i'm relaxed and comfortable and i'm here. and i think if the tourist wasn't in the picture, it would bring more immediacy and intimacy, ie. this is the city i belong in, it's 'my little universe'.

Nice captured image and the clouds and the sky give a nice atmosphere to it. I'm surprised that you didn't succeed to avoid the grain effect in the B&W mode? Anyway, it gives something to the shot too.. Congrats.

I like this one - the feeling of the sky is impressive as is the thought of a skatebooarder in the VAtican (from your shoe I assume a boarder) - the placement of the tourist is good. K

Hi Sébastien, excellent composition; the wide angle lens, and the idea of including only the lower part of your leg into the composition (and calling it a selfprotrait...:)) is very creative, but also creates a very strong tension in this shot. Very original, and well composed. I think the quality of this shot could be a tad cleaner, but that's a minor detail. Good job.

Cheers,

Hugo
