About
I had borrowed a camera a couple of years ago for a trip to Chicago. While I was there, I was again struck with how many homeless people there were visible. I took several photos, feeling bad about them as I shot. I felt like I was exploting them.
Now, looking at them, I do not see them that way. I hope that perhaps someone will see an image and see what they have not before... a human being much in need of our love and care.
BTW, the photo of the pipes was taken while I was on my way to work at a shelter for the homeless. I practice what I preach!
This is a real ?thinker shot? well seen! Chicago is a safe city from crime and violence compared to Detroit at least. but there are still good people that are homeless and since that?s not illegal there, the police don?t stop them and the legal system doesn?t have the funds to put them back on track. It?s people who care about others is why some photography has such an impact. This photo provokes thought; it belongs in a gallery or a fund raiser event, to make people really think about how others have to do to survive. I like this shot. Well seen! Cheers! ~Mike 7
