Very interesting, we are keeping track of firework in NY, yours- last year, mine -this year. Funny. We was using differnt techniqe and getting different result. You are got nice spot, and great peaces of light, i like deep blue. Before going to shooting i was reading Lee Frost "Modern photography" and he was recommended f11, f16 with ISO 100,so i was trying.
My regards, LArissa

Bill beautiful image here - love the reflections and the intense blues and reds. I am not familiar with the film choice, can u explain your selection in more detail. This image deserves attention, if you've tried to capture fireworks you realize it's not that easy to do in terms of DOF, timing, etc...I took a few myself this 4th and your shot blows everything I did away! Bravo an inspiration. 7 from me... Kind Regards, Cindi

I had done some night shots before and decided to bracket between 1s and 3s.

But the most important thing was to be on tripod.

It takes a little bit of luck, too. But the fireworks display went on for 30 minutes, which helped.

Glad you like the shot, hrishi. Regards, Bill.
