The more I see of your work, which I adore, the more I believe you should absolutely receive a commission to illustrate a new edition of e.g. the selected works of Hans Christen Andersen. Digitally manipulated photography would be new in this area, but you are clearly able to use Photoshop to achieve subtle watercolour-like effects which are traditional in childrens' publishing. Also, you have an artisanal mastery of colour which is first-rate and extremely rare these days. How I would love to see "Thumbellina" or "The Little Mermaid" illustrated by you! Pardon me for fantasizing. My wife works for Otava, Finland's second-largest publishing house, as a publishing manager. She used to manage the childrens' book department, and I had occasion to see many works in progress of illustrated childrens' books. I was particularly interested in the watercolour illustrations because watercolour is a particular love of mine. Well -- I'm running on. Rgds, Svend

Spectacular the toning and mood. The tree almost seems to take on a life of its own, as if it may very well grab the bird out of the sky and entangle it with its limbs. I also like the smooth water, almost seems painted.
