Have you read Guenter Grass's "Blechtrommel?" One of the first scenes in this unforgettable book speakes about the difficulty in light measuring in the snow. You did not fall in this trap, my friend. I also sled on the Alps of Tyrol when I was a student in Switzerland and went to Austria to ski. You captured the photo in a way that arouses nostalgia. I don't know if I told you this, but when I was already a doctor, I joined a parachute batallion and jumped about 18 times. I tell you this because other than scuba diving, the feeling of floating in the air with the canopy open above you is the only feeling that can compete with ski. Thanks for reminding me of this wonderful feeling and thanks for your very friendly comment on my "Red 3".

It's getting warmer here in BC, and most of our snow is gone - the ski slopes are green right now. I love your picture, it looks so inviting. The sky is beautiful. It's difficult to shoot snow/sky, and you got the exposure just right here IMO.

Just beautiful, Gunter! Fabulous scenery, expertly captured.
The crisp snow is matched by the crisp focus and the ski rack in the foreground helps to give the shot a sense of scale.

Incredibly beautiful! The light is fantastic and I truly love these deep colour tones and beautiful combination of them! Those glossy hills look beautiful, and the skis adds a really nice inviting mood! Photo quality too... so PERFECT!
