The bird is really eye catching. A pity that you had to overexpose the bird to get detail in the background.

This is a nice photograph, however it seems to lack detail and that "special something". Perhaps if you had "backed up a bit" and shot this bird so that his reflection (of which we only get a small glimpse) was fully in the photo, the missing "special something" would be present.
I give you a 7 for effort.
