Hi, I love the "inner light" of the B&W version. The frame doesn't contribute too much, I think. In my opinion, this is a case where colors aren't necessary. Forms do a better job here, thanks to you composition. Congratulations.
In Photoshop did you use the Channel Mixer > Monochrome? Regards, José Azevedo.

This is outstanding, one of the best bw flowers Ive seen easy. The clarity is wonderful and I like the blackout background, it gives alot of depth to the image. Fantastic work.
Cheers, Dustin

Hi Carmen - I like your B&W version of this very much. It has a magic and subtle movement in this form. The colour is good too but B&W is my favorite.

Now about "metamorphosis". Thanks for viewing and comments. I too am puzzled why this is not evoking comments. I prefer the image as I originally posted it as that is true to the insect in nature. Your orientation could work but looks strange to me. All of the emerging Epitheca canis where as shown. You arewelcome to show this to your class just give me a photo credit.

Cheers - Bill

i sure hope you've framed and put this up on your wall, cause if you haven't that would be such a shame.

A composição é gentil e interessante, e a luz é bastante complementar.

E refletores?

Se me permite, indago tambem sobre a escolha de abertura: f/3.6 me parece um pouco aberto demais.

Saudações,
Angelo.

jorge

Hi Carmem. Isn't life nice again with Usefilm up and working again :) Thanks for your comments.
I REALLY like the B&W treatment of this photo. It makes it look unreal, and i find mmy brain trying to substitute the colours of real life. Now was the leaf green or was that the stem? and was colour was the flower? You know that sort of question. It makes you realise how much we depend on colour especially when we see something which we automatically associate with a colourful environment. Best Wishes from your Usefilm friend in Switzerland, Neil

Carmen, This is a beautiful B&W floral image. You have captured it in such a way, that the lack of color does not distracted from the image. Nicely done! Regards, Mike

Beautifully composed image,Carmen
The flowers are gorgeous in both versions but I have a slight preference for the colour one
The touch of yellow in the middle of the flowers brightens the image and makes the lighting more beautiful and vivid. Great texture on the petals
Excellent capture.

Lovely! I like the both, in colours and in B&W! They are so different, in B&W i do like the forms and excellent lighting, but in colours I do like such gentle, soft colours and textures! Great! Like them very much! Thank you! My best wishes !LAexey

Hi Carmen, I think I like the colour version a wee bit better, as the colours carry a bit more information. Good shot, and a very well balanced composition.

Cheers,
