I feel like you've had enough of congratulatory comments on this one, but one thing that blows me away (apart from the great face and portrait of it) is the background. Were you able to see it that way as you shot this photo? Seems like he might be pretty engrossed in the paper he's reading so I'm imagining you leaning over to the right getting just the right fuzzy white blob behind his head :-)

You remind me of Ozymandius. "Look on my works... and despair!" Every time I think I really MUST try to start taking people, you toss off one of these superb portraits that makes me feel "Never in this life...." Did you have to work at it for long, or is it more or less a natural thing for you, Roger? It certainly looks like the latter, but I know that great art can be made to look natural. Any chance for someone who has to claw his way up the learning curve step by step?
