I love this photo too. This is the sort of image that I enjoy taking. I'm fascinated by geometric patterns. I'd also be interested in seeing other images of this grille, perhaps at different angles and distances.

I like it too, the color and shape are very simple yet pleasant, not boring. Did you try to plant something like fly to upper right square? Or place a person behind the fence and light it just enough to show whites of eye(s) only? :)

Count me with those who like this image...it is the geometry and the tones that pull me in. I only wish that the background was more uniform...dark like the bg on the right side of the image. I like how you found an image that I would have missed.

I'm not sure why this shot popped out at me. Maybe it's the tones or the geometry. Capturing the extraordinary in the ordinary is sometimes difficult but I think this works well. After all, we browse through thumbnail images and one that can pop out and get one's attention says a lot in itself.

I like this shot, a little dark in the upper right corner, but I still like it. I disagree with Marc.

It may just be me, but I feel that this wasn't a subject worth shooting. Less is more ? Not in this case, I believe. Geometrical motives can sometimes be great but light, colors, creativity in the composition, rythms is what can make such images succeed. Here, I can see any of these, and I believe it isn't your fault - just that the subject wouldn't give you what you need... Photography is also the art of selecting subjects. It is that FIRST actually. I hope that will ring a few bells for future thoughts... Best regards.
