While this photograph is technically VERY nice.... composition, dof is cool, elements are all great. So it is a social comment I make: I should like to chastise the mother (not the photographer) of this child for a scar on her forhead, for wearing clothing too suggestive for her age, plus earrings that are also too "grownup'. The last thing I have to say is ... Sadly, this child has an expression that is too hardened, too knowing, or perhaps too unwilling........ In spite of it's good qualities, this photo has a disturbing quality.... one I cannot put a finger on, but disturbing all the same. It is a juxtaposition of age and expected innocence... and a smile that does not show in her eyes. She is smiling for the camera only, not in her heart.
