Hi Kim,

Thanks for looking! Yes, the lights are from houses ... imagine that i'm at the top of a high hill looking down into a valley. Right to my left (pun intended) on the slope are tall eucalyptus trees,which are helping to confuse sense of scale, I think.

The suggestion to eliminate some of the black makes some sense, except that then I'd lose some of the lights, which so intrigued you!

This image plays with my mind... are the lights from houses? In my mind they are, but the trees to the left are so big that it throws my perpective off, but in a good way... keeps me looking. Lovely colours, love the way they are in layers in the sky. I just think it would be a bit more balanced if the horizon didn't run straight through the middle of the frame, I would opt to lose some black. My two cents!!!
